you know, i enjoyed the movie, i just thought it was kind of weird having a mom of 2 children to let 3 twenty-something year olds into her guest house, and have a full on relationship with one of them. i’m a total sucker for a romcom, but to me this just felt kind of weird. i did enjoy the family aspect, how the three guys being there kind of brought her family back together. i have mixed feelings about it but overall i think it wasn’t bad.

So, i have read all the books in the TATBILB series at least 3 times. i love them SO SO SO much! it’s my favorite series! (and that’s a hard choice considering i’m a die-hard harry potter fan). I might accidentally spoil the book in my list of pros and cons but here is my opinion on it: CONS: - WAYYYY off of the real plot of the second book - john ambrose doesn’t get much screen time 😢 - they just make the party at bellview a kind of “ball” instead of the USO themed one - which added to the plot of the book WAYYY MORE! (and peter and gen showed up) - they didn’t play the “assassin” game they played as a kid - they didn’t show josh AT ALL!! (he’s LJ’s neighbor!!) - they changed the plot of the book A LOT!! PROS: - honestly was a really good movie - so sweet and romantic - the scene where LJ walks down the stairs to meet John Ambrose for the ball was absolutely amazing! you could tell the spark in his eyes that lit up when he saw LJ in that BEAUTIFUL dress stormy gave her - STORMY!! She’s a bada**. i just love her - i do personally recommend but i recommend for watch the movie and THEN read the book, you WILL be disappointed. all in all, a good adaptation of the book. and i have to keep in mind, they can’t cram every last detail of the book into the movie. i just wish they didn’t change it up COMPLETELY!
