Don't get this twisted. The one star reviews are from people who expected a one to one comic adaptation. And while in some ways, that may have been preferable, the opportunity instead is taken to take the characters in a far different direction which for the most part still pays off the emotional journeys of Scott and Ramona in a satisfying way by the end. If you go in with no expectations, you'll have a great time.
1. The Voice Acting: Incredibly important to me. The acting felt stiff at the start in English but you can see that the actors get the hang of it by the end to the point that I feel the direction in initial episodes was by design for the story.
2. Story itself: Pacing is kind of slow for the middle batch of episodes. 1,2,7, and 8 don't have this problem but once you kind of figure out where it's going it feels a bit aimless at times.
3. The Animation: Excellent work all around. Talking scenes don't really match English performances at times but the fight scenes and action in each episode are a treat.
Overall worth the watch but if you go for it, know it takes time to pay off
