It's listed as a dark comedy. It's really never very funny, and the story isn't very captivating even though it should be.The pacing is uneven and has a weird Jason-esque moment where someone clearly should have been dead and isn't. It does get a little dark, but the ambiguous ending is deeply disatisfying. The writers tried too hard to provide every character with a backstory, but then they have to literally hand it to you via exposition because there's no other way for them to come up naturally in the simple setting. I don't want to give too much away in case you, like myself, still enjoy watching bad movies to make fun of them. It's almost worth watching for that, but there are better and worse movies out there. It really could have been a great movie, and instead it's just a movie.

For a movie about the complete annihilation of planet earth and what it would do to the few remaining humans in space it is a complete bore. It starts off just oddly unrealistic with four people manning a huge space station, one of them being the doctor, and one of them being the captain so that leaves ... two engineers? For a station with a seemingly endless array of screens that should be monitored. Complete snore, hard to follow, weird anachronisms, like cigarettes in 2190? Really? Also there is perfectly good source material for this very same idea. A Maze of Death by Asminov. I am sure that was the inspiration, but instead of just making that into a screenplay the writer just made their own terrible story about circling the drain. All the characters should have just killed themselves once they realized the earth was gone.

Awful. The movie makes no sense and never answers the question of why any of it is even happening. It has a couple of some what interesting reveals but ultimately you're just watching a bunch of people get zapped to death. It's not gory but it still just gratuitous meaningless death which would be somewhat ok if it was a more riveting horror, but it feels like it is trying to say something when it is just circling the drain. It isn't even one of those "so good it's bad" movies. It's just a big bore. I need to add that I just saw how many people think this movie is deep and compelling and that is freaking hysterical. It is about as deep as a puddle and as interesting as watching one dry out in real time.
