Voice acting is absolutely abysmal even by RE standards. Puzzles are non existent. The themes and overall vibe is cool, but there is very little that makes this a horror game. I really don’t understand how this game can score so highly compared to masterpieces like the Last of Us 2. The story and dialogue here is cheesy B-horror at its best. The first major section of the game (the castle) is significantly better and longer than the rest of the game, leaving other major bosses and plot points feeling super rushed and even unfinished. I would LOVE to see a film adaptation of this game, because the theme are that cool at times. But the overall experience really doesn’t deserve the steam 10/10 or the glowing reviews. Also: the game takes place in a small European village. And everyone speaks with an American accent. Do better.
