Panipat is a good movie. It is based on a true story, so it has that authenticity. It is not someone's fantasy with cars flying and crashing and unreal and unnecessary action sequences. Direction was really good. Given that it is somewhat a forgotten (or untold) chapter of our history, it would have been a challenge for Ashutosh to build the plot and to bring out the geo political situation of that time. I think Ashutosh did a good job in this. Acting wise it was good if not great. Arjun Kapoor came out to be much better than what I had anticipated, so did Kriti Senon. Sanjay Dutt did a good job as abdali. If I was director I would have gotten rid of few songs. The film is being targeted by liberal media for obvious reasons, they want to play down this episode of unparalleled courage and immense bravery of our soldiers. It is a shame that people are not going to this movie based on biased reviews of our leftist media or just because of dislike of one or two actors. This is what the media wants.
