I unfortunately watched this movie with my wife. Although geared torward kids these types of movies generally can appeal to an adult audience. It was not the case with this one. They try terribly to be funny throughout the entire movie only to get a chuckle here and there. The cast play is terrible. Just because Robert Downey Jr. Is good as ironman does not mean he was meant for the lead role in this movie. There are a number of wrong picked and out of place actors that also dont seemed dressed appropriately for the time period. The script was terrible and doesnt really draw you in or keep you interested. I found myself feeling like falling asleep quite often. Why did the new dolittle have to be in an older time period without a funny actor like eddie murphy or kevin hart? I suppose they dont know how to make movies anymore.
