AWESOME...I LOVED IT! They took the time to make everything so realistic to the time that it was set in. This movie touched on many of the social issues of that time. Example: a wife is property and her being raped was an offence against her husband. Another example was that even though she had be violated, if she felt the least bit of pleasure, by law it could not be rape. The overall movie I really enjoyed. Especially Jodie Comer as Marguerite and Adam Drive as Jacques Le Gris. The sounds that Adam Driver made while he is raping Marguerite and the faces that he makes are priceless. I can imagine having to do that scene over and over take after take. THEN THE DUEL...I am 66 year old man, former football player, former boxer, and military veteran. The battle action in THE DUEL had me squirming and cringing in my seat...GREAT STUFF
