I could easily tell you why it's amazing but you should play it yourself.
The only things I'll say are:
- Platinum is the better version but Diamond and Pearl are still worth playing
- Don't pay 300 USD for these games. Original retail was around 30-40, so the most you should ever pay is 50-60. If you don't believe me, go on eBay and see how much people try and sell these for, as well as HGSS.
Lastly, for the love of Arcoos, do not go into the champion fight unprepared.
