As a child I can remember helping my father turn bags of damp grain in an effort to prevent damage from mildew in the wet years at the end of the 1940’s and early 1950’s described in this excellent book. Before and after WW 2 he used a Lanz Bulldog tractor for towing his equipment - an unforgettable part of my life.
In June 2021 we stayed at Capella and visited the Pioneer Village which is among the best we have seen. We saw the tractors described in the book and of course the Lanz Bulldog in all its glory stood out for me.
We met Andy Plunkett and bought this book which he graciously signed for us. I am delighted with it and the story it tells.
