One of the best videogame-to-movie adaptations in years. Also one of the best looking non-theatrical movies of all time. Ignore the hate. It rocks! You can feel that the director had a love and respect for the source material, which is more than can be said for most directors of videogame movies. For the low budget, the cast and crew went above and beyond. I mean, it's still a B-movie. Don't get me wrong. But, it's one of the best I've ever seen. Instant cult classic. There is NO "feminist agenda" in the casting of the lead. Just wanna nip that argument in the bud, right now. Man or woman, it doesn't matter. They're marines.
