the visuals were just amazing for this film, particularly the airplane crash and the night scene with the burning ruins, the scene with the booby trapped German underground barracks was riveting, the shoot out scenes were also high intensity; there were so many parts to the movie that make you want to view it over and over, it was both desolate, monstrous and just extremely intense and cinemagraphic, the sudden swiftness of destruction really was something that stands out quite a lot in the story, and the sense of chance really deciding the fate of the characters as much as whatever preparation they might have had for the mission, it's a hugely explosive cinematic feat
