A solid 19th century seafaring color action-adventure set in the South Pacific's Dutch Eat Indies. It has a spectacular (for the era) final act, thanks to Republic Pictures' top-notch SPX experts, the amazing Lydecker brothers. This film was released to movie theaters in September of 1953 in the days prior to the widescreen CinemaScope process becoming the movie theater viewing standard. That said, the film will still hold your attention for its 92 minute running time, with its cast of veteran actors. It's still available at a reasonable price from several online sources and comes on a BD-R Blu-ray disc issued in a standard movie poster-style DVD case. For all Home Theater viewers/movie collectors. it's also available for streaming from Prime Video for a small viewing fee.
