There are books you cherish because they touch the deepest parts of you. And there are others you shun for doing the exact same thing.
I have just finished “Smile”, and I do not know if I want to thank Mr. Doyle or avoid ever reading one of his books again. It is truly painful to see the endless number of memories made false and real in the book. And it is also harder to forgive a past that still burns.
Yes, this is one of his best, but I warn you that will find yourself emotionally exhausted by it as your eyes hit the last page.
And nothing is ever over...
