Overhyped. Reminds me of when they hoot and hollered about Blair Witch. Uses textbook horror film tricks but lathered with style, atmosphere, and composition. Acting reduced merely to affects. The allegorical commentary on the dark secrets in this troubled marriage was interesting for a few minutes, but as the rationale for the entire drama, the device proved bum numbing.
