Great movie. Depicts a part of U.S.A. history never to be forgotten. The high cost of a Civil War to end the heinous crime is slavery.

Excellent! Brings back memories of Dr. Zhivago. The beauty of Russia, the revolution, the soldiers. Turkey and it's beauty, it's people, it's traditions. All very well placed in many hours to enjoy. I don't usually watch long lasting mini series but I couldn't get out of this one.
