Everything from the original "derp sonic with human teeth" PR stunt, to the creation and writing of the actual movie was fantastic. They took what the internet, people, and fans wanted, and made it into a movie. Didn't feel like the directors were strong armed by producers into making some piece of garbage that would satisfy a few out-of-touch PC individuals. A solid 9/10 movie. Soundtrack was amazing too.
