This film is utterly brilliant , a reflection of the society we have all ( well a large majority) bought into, it uses the meteor as a substitute for global disaster engulfing us perfectly, it's actually very dark and throws In clever comedy in spades . The president and co leave us all to our fate , to start again thousands of years hence , these same people are right now building rockets to go mars in I assume for themselves , it really is a reflection of the planet as it is now , I found it quite disturbing.and as others have said a masterpiece
