So glad to see this movie again and I wish a sequel would be produced as a follow-up following the descendants of the lead characters. The scenery is both daunting and challenging but the seemingly end scenery of coming spring promises hope and peace in the community. Jim MacKay might be naive to some people but to me he represents rationality and fairness even strength in an environment that is controlled by two war lords concerned only on being powerful and getting the upper hand. Major Terill and his daughter are superficial with pretentious respectability. For all of his being rough and gruff demeanor, old Honassy knows how to recognize quality, fairness and reason. He is disappointed by his no good son who attempted to shoot his father that the father had to shoot his son in return. It's too sad that movies like this are not done anymore.
