Cats is very near and dear to me. I’m sorry, this movie is just terrible. Everything that could have made it alright was CHANGED, and the new original storylines and plots were underdeveloped and terribly written. The jokes and love subplots came from no where and made no sense. The sound quality was bad. The mixing was bad. The CGI was so bad it looked like the characters were floating above the ground at almost every point in the film, and the faces weren’t bonded to the bodies. The bodies moved separately from the fur. It was hard to watch. Really one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t seen the actual broadway show, there is a stage recording from the 90s that is rather good quality. Watch that. Don’t give this trash pile time or money, because it’s lazy and disrespectful to all of the previous cast and crew members who have worked on the show. If I could give negative stars, I would.
