dont go see the remake. the lack of emotion and chemistry between ALL the characters is terrible. maria and tony barely touched eachother. there was no romance at all!! the end scene maria was robotic and awkward. it was a waste of time. i am so disappointed. chinos character was changed, the dress shop wasnt in it, unnecessary scenes were added in, where was doc, maria and tonys dance scene was missing instead they were behind the bleachers? the relationship between riff and tony was lacking as well as maria and bernardos. it was like they all just met each other and were reading lines. ur supposed to FEEL tony and marias love. its undeniable, irresistible, and passionate. instead it was uncomfortable, forced and cold. wheres the embracing and the passion, the kissing and hugging. i mean these two barely touched each other it was so weird! i am so disappointed. the original is one of the best films in history and the movie i just saw was nothing even comparable.
