A self aware film, which is needed with a movie of this topic. All in all it was funny all the way through, entertaining even before she got the powers. Shockingly something I feel that women AND men can enjoy without feeling attacked in any way. She had to be tough being the only lady in that company, which was cool to see for women, and in the end she was even called out for the negative aspects of her generalizations of men, again, a very self aware film. The message was great, women can be strong without having to believe all men are the enemy. Also, there are some negative comments here saying how the original was better and this is bad, but it seems to go both ways for both movies.(see the reviews from *women* on the original movie, saying mel gibson was nasty).

truly beautiful film. lovely visuals and story. on paper, it might not be so exciting though. but thats what makes it so real. these people are like us. mundane situations, feeling lonely, feeling out of place. feeling distant from the ones you love. finding someone you fall in love with for just one day and saying goodbye. our most indescribable feelings. its a melancholy movie. happy, yet leaves you feeling empty, but ok. leaves you wanting more too when it ends, and worrying about the people you saw on the screen like theyr'e real people you connected with. and thats how you know it was a great film...

SO funny. intelligent humor and fart humor combined. and a joke every few seconds. so fun, please make more!!

I think it was a realistic portrayal of the life and mind of an assault victim. for once i even felt like a rape scene in a movie was necessary. Well done. realistic enough and also inspirational

the manga and a lot of the artist's works are gorgeous and the most spiritual, nature oriented thing you can ever read. the movie does it great justice. However it is very confusing, so i reccomend reading the manga as well to get qgreater in depth understanding and more dialogue about the meaning of it.

This show is extremely emotionally intelligent. If you have had trauma in your life, and we all have, you will relate to at least one character. Each relationship has the depth of a real one. They use the art form of animation and a series format as a medium to convey emotions in the best way they can, therefore there are episodes that are exremely unique, almost like a short film or an art piece. No constraits, fear, or infantilizing the audience. Its depressing, but it's also extremely light hearted all at the same time. Depressing because it places everything bad about life, ourselves, our relationships in each episode. But it also places constant humor and tender moments.I can tell the people who made it are in love with it. You will also fall in love, trust me.
