The New York Post's entertainment critic, Johnny Oleksinski, put it best: ”The acid-blooded menaces are back for the ninth time in the rip-roaring Alien: Romulus.”
The movie starts slow to build up just the right amount of tension and anticipation before exploding into a tight, fast-paced, and action-packed thrill ride powered by exceptional sound design. It's the second best outing in the 45-year-old series.
And Romulus is orders of magnitude better than 2017's ‘Alien: Covenant,’ which, like it's predecessor (Prometheus), took a self-important, boringly philosophical turn.
Fede Alvarez nailed it!
