I watched the movie with a school group at a special premier, it was altogether a really awesome movie, but i would not recommend showing it to younger children, there are parts of the movie you have to know a little bit about where the movie takes place, as long as your kids actually know what Africa is like I think they will be fine. also, SPOILER ALERT the dog dies ):
