Actually, if watched carefully, was quite adept. Owes much to Edwin S. Porter's "Great Train Robbery" (1903--made for $150 USD!) which was the first film, we are told, to keep two story lines moving at once through intercutting/cross-cutting. At times, "Geostorm" had 5 story lines intercut at once and so smoothly and quickly that they all seemed to flow together as one. Watching how well it was made was almost the best part, although the images were a delight, the acting persuasive, and some clever dialogue with periods cutting much deeper than simply fluff if one is actually listening and watching more than condescending.
