The acting was superb and it allows the new generation to appreciate the story about music that is still loved today. I appreciated the toned down portrayal of sex and drugs because it allowed me to bring my 9 year old 11 year old children, who also loved the movie. The inclusion of homophobia and the AIDS crisis was a bonus as it gave me an opportunity to have those discussions with my children.
