Sewing Bee is a brilliant programme! Though I’ve never sewed a thing in my life I’ve followed and enjoyed it for every year BUT since Claudia Winkleman left the show is much diminished. Joe Lycett is terrible; he’s not funny though for some reason he attempts to be, he looks ill at ease all the time, he’s offensive with his gay innuendo and his “look at me” attitude detracts from the real focus and talent, the sewing stars. I seriously doubt if I can take another series of the Joe Lycett Show!
