A film divided in two half, A brilliant 1st and a drag in the 2nd urbanization, education and increasing empowerment of women's along with Gender bias laws have all resulted in a tamed pent up caged masculinity. While abuse and exploitation of women and children's takes place at a horrific proportion in India as per NCRB data however middle class women's have woken up to their rights and going as far as abusing them Vanga, has a teenage level take on many contentious topics and I am game for anyone to break the shackles and bring everything which is considered as a taboo or discussed in the closet out on the silver screen. My problem with this movie is that unlike claimed himself by Vanga this movie doesn't stay honest to whatever it claims to highlight whether it's Caged Masculinity, changing power equation in the marriage, father son troublesome issues etc etc Honestly, I don't care about any of the above as long as movie entertains me and this movie at many levels does that especially in the first half. Since their is nothing new in the story its left to the brilliant acting, screenplay, outstanding BGM & Music and Cinematography Editing is great in the first how and transitions is well done, pre interval action block is simply outstanding, This has to go down as best action set piece of any Hindi movie. You will walk out of the interval with a big satisfying smile not anticipating the bore fest in store in a dull 2nd half. I get the point that Vanga wants to show various transition and dips in the character graph but this just goes on and on till I reached a point to look at sky wondering is it the same movie I was watching before the interval Movie briefly comes into light with a brilliant introduction of Bobby Deol and I was thinking finally they are getting a move on, about time but alas we are thrown back to the world of overgrown children's talking, behaving and acting like fools. The core issue for me was that the conflict doesn't justify Ranveer action, as Anil Kapoor himself says in a scene . when they finally sit and have a heart to heart talk you wonder what's the point of this long movie The surprise post credit is interesting, Like many how I wish that more meat was given to Bobby but I guess Vanga thought he might steel the show from Ranveer. PS: I Loved the opening story of the monkey

Feel lucky to discover this Gem. Though both lead actors are hardly my favorites but Dimabar Banerjee certainly is. Half heartedly i decided to take a plunge into this slow burner and it was worth it. I will stick my neck out and claim this movie has one of the best opening sequence you will ever see. Dibakar has a knack of creating wonderful characters and you will stay with them long after movie is over. Never thought Arjun could ever impress me but hell, he did. partinta had a well wriiten role and she did excelled but what really takes the cake is cracker of a supporting cast. Moody carmera. Super sound design and lack of ear spalttering BGP all enchance the impact of scenes. Very smartly written and directed. I am shocked to absolute lack of buzz.

You have got to get your expectation right. This movie is all about money and its influence on relationship. Not really a domain of AK I thought. An interesting plot a great character study superb screenplay which unfolds as a thriller and steller performance from cast Of course its Anurag movie right so you get that dose of Political punches but surprisengly they have been thrown in subtule way and blend with the story I didnt really like the end but still its worth taking the plunge a very different genre attempted by Anurag and he delivers

Amused by some reviews by leading publications this one is througholy satisfying ride. Crisp, keep the pace going very interedting plot and superb cinematic execution. Things are kept on nice boil untill the thrilling climax Vinit and puniya stood out. Technically well crafted khudos to production design camerawork, sound effect It has it flaws but at a running time of 3 hours they wouldnt bother you Wholeheartedly recommended

What a hiddem GEM it turned out to be. The story screenplay keeps you glued to the screen. It has the soul of a superhero and had thrilling screenolay which will keep you in tenterhooks Pity the movie was not marketed properly But surely on netflix you must not miss it Action was real and yet enthralling Khudos to motvani
