I only heard of this movie a couple of days ago. It wasn't what I expected at all. Very much what I rank as film noir, focusing on the tough realities of life. I'm used to seeing Meg Ryan in comedy romance movies, so this was an eye opener and I now think she's a lot better actress than I thought before. Lots of sex scenes, plus gruesome scenes as the story revolves around a serial killer who chops up his victims. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a fantastic movie, but I feel it was very much worth watching and very different to what you'd expect from the two leads if you're used to their usual older movies.

I watched Hold Your Breath yesterday and Never Let Go today. The similarities are weird! Both movies about mothers living alone, with two children in an awful place in horrible circumstances. There are other similarities, but major spoiler so I won't go there. I gave both movies a 4, but said the other one should really be a 3.5. I'll stick with that as this deserves the 4 just for how good I thought the child actors were for their ages. Neither movie is fantastic, but they're definitely both worth a watch if you are fans of both leads.

I'd give this a 3.5 out of 5 if I had option. 4 is a bit high, but giving it a 3 seems unfair. It was described as a horror, but I'd never describe it that way. It's more a psychological drama. I like Sarah Paulson and think all of the actors in this did a really good job. It's not a perfect movie by any means, but I think it's worth more than the really bad reviews it is getting. Acting good, beautiful imagery, great effects. Set in 1930's in remote area. I think branding it horror was a mistake and I think changing the title was a terrible idea. "Dust" would have been the perfect name for this movie. Hold Your Breath is an awful title for it, I think...

I don't usually watch these kind of movies, but was in the mood for something different. The only person in the cast I'd heard of was Lindsay Lohan and I'm not much of a fan. I was also put off by the 5.2 IMDB rating! This turned out to be a pretty good sweet romantic comedy. Over the top silly fluffy Hallmark style of movie, but kept my interest, the actors were good and it made me feel happy. What more could you want from a Xmas movie? For the kind of movie it is, it's actually very good and I'd give it at least a 7. I'd say it's a cross between Overboard, Beauty & the Beast and an old fashioned Mills & Boon romance. Nice bit of escapism and some beautiful scenery.

Just finished watching this show. I watch a lot of Korean movies/shows, but this was unlike any of them! With being made for Netflix, so western audience, I guess. I was very surprised at content. Lots of sex scenes (very well done, unlike western stuff which I usually find cringeworthy), nudity, maturation, etc. There was quite a lot in it that made no sense to me but enough good quality writing to make me say it was well worth watching. I thought Episode 3 was brilliant and the story could have been a stand alone movie. I usually watch Korean stuff as normal, just with English subtitles. Best way to watch as the dubbed English versions often can be *very* different.
