Wonderful and moving movie,but if your'e going to watch here is some cultural facts for ya. Firstly, geishas are not prostittues. They are performers of the arts like dancing calligraphy and music. Not like oiran who are simply prostitues.
Unfortunately Arthur Golden mixd geishas with prostitues quite alot in movie and book which was unfortunate. Either way it is a suuuuper good movie and check it out.
