LEGO Monkie Kid is incredibly high quality, filled to the brim wtih excellent art and animation, great characters, an excellent cast, and great inspiration and references to the original Journey to the West story. Give it a go! It's the best!

Honestly, you are missing out so much if you skip this after the first episode. What you're getting rewarded with for continuing is hilarious visual humor, creative action scenes & animated shots, and excellent character development from villains and heroes alike. This is one of my favorite cartoons right now for many good reasons. I had more of a good time with this than TMNT 2012 I would say, but that's just my own personal opinion since I also still love that iteration of the turtles. This show is inching close to dying because of the move to Nicktoons. So... if you still love it, you are interested, or want it to survive and want the Netflix exclusive movie to exist... Watch all of the show on Nicktoons or watch it on streaming services with your own money. Hell, if it's in your country on Netflix watch it there as well. Ignore the iMDB score, this is worth all of your attention.
