Just like Band of Brothers, this is an amazing show. However, the one difference between the two is that Band of Brothers tends to glamorize the the war while The Pacific shows the brutal reality of WWII. For example, The Pacific really emphasizes the mental breakdowns and PTSD throughout the series while Band of Brothers has only one portion dedicated to showing that unsavory side of war. I would say both Band of Brothers and The Pacific are my favorite war movies (TV shows) ever, but The Pacific tends to show the grim and unseen side of war more. I guess it's really up to personal preference in terms of what you want to get from watching war movies and TV shows.
