I found it fascinating. Through her journal, Tara draws information, to write her beautifully crafted memoire.....she vividly describes for her readers the spiritual and emotional.....and often physical landscape of her mountain abode. Her writing illustrates her passion for learning and through it finds her voice, despite the challenges of her daily life. Her physical and moral courage throughout the book amaze me. Her visceral honesty will open the door for people who see her courage. Her writing skills and her thought patterns also amaze me....(when she describes Rome.....I have been to Rome four times but never thought about it the way she does). She navigates the turbulent waters of her life in her canoe.....so to speak....with energetic and emphatic movements of her oars as she battles through the waters and comes out into a smooth and soft flow.
