It's not the show you remember, it could never be, if you simply love the old show keep watching reruns, the world has moved on, this is Mason before he becomes the great man, tired of war and life itself, its filmed in a gritty hard hitting manner, already that will put many off, but it works, episode 1 introduced us to this Mason, like many in the period work etc was hard to come by, you did what you could to get by, the episode like life itself was joyless finding only a few moments to smile at, episode 2, started to show us a little more of the man, his determination to find the truths, ultimately leading him to what I hope is the beginning of the man he will become.
