1. Yes, this is a spotty attempt at "A Christmas Story" re-make with a Nintendo system in place of the coveted Red Ryder BB Gun.
2. I'm a sucker for details and when the rich boy is showing off the power glove at home to which he loses a battle against one of his friends, did anyone miss the fact that the power glove needs the antenna system around the TV to work??!?!??!... it was missing entirely!!! Bad form! If your going to include the greatest glove ever at least do it properly. At least it was done properly in Wizard.
3. If you pause the movie when the Nintendo is talking to main kid at the mall, you'll notice a wall of games for sale behind the system. Now I grew up with Nintendo, and I did not recognise any of the games on the wall. Not only that, but the games he wanted to play weren't even on the wall. And lastly, the games that were on the wall were scattered in different spots all over.
Again, I'm a sucker for detail so this really bugged me. May not bug the lot of you, but it was enough for me to slump back in my chair and say awwww man... come on!
