The departure of Chris Matthews from Hardball last night was a huge tragedy for 'Real news" journalism! Furthermore, it was a major mistake for MSNBC to let him go! Chris is a brilliant, honest, and humble journalist. I have watched this man for years on MSNBC and trust him because he calls a spade a spade, he apologizes when he makes mistakes, he is passionate about democracy and decency and he is humble beyond measure. I hope Chris finds a new home soon on Television elsewhere and will continue to write books and articles as well as produce meaningful and thoughtful podcasts! He will be missed by millions on MSNBC!
