Today I have read multiple negative hypes in regard to "Cuties" on Netflix. I have read that it's disgusting watching little girls twerk. I have read that it will attract pedophiles. I have read that it is a wrong time to come out with something like this while child pornography and sex trafficking is so booming and roaring. And I have read that it over sexualizes little girls and it's not acceptable and that they would NEVER let their children watch it. Well first... It DOES over sexualize little girls... But that is a main point in the movie; on how and what our Western modernized culture has led some adults... Women... Children.. Girls to be. All of the influences and pressures etc. It DOES show the negative effects and wrongs that it brings. What it does NOT show is child pornography. It does not once show a child naked or any exposed body parts of a child. These things happen in real life. What, is it okay for us to know but not to witness? This an international film... Where people and children are alot more mature than we Americans are and they do not sensor the true, the real and the ugly. Many of us don't want to face the truth. The truth that this movie does NOT create or intend to attract pedophiles. The truth that pedophilia is going to exist whether this movie exists or not. The truth that child sex trafficking is not just "booming and roaring" NOW. It's BEEN "A THING" for way too long. Apparently it just had to wait to be the next "big thing" to bring to light in our precious modern Western World. I absolutely LOVED 💕 this movie. It was powerful. And i think many people have judged and reviewed far before even watching the movie, if at all. ** Another quick note, the movie is rated MA. So it's not meant for your child to watch it. So if they do, it's on you.
