The last masterpiece in horror genre. Simply brilliant in all aspects of film making. Clever and subtle. Gets under your skin. Delivers some serious scares and suspense. Absolute masterpiece. Brilliantly conceived and executed. I've seen so many horror movies and developed such a thick skin, it's almost impossible for a movie to get under my skin. This movie got under my skin so easily. No cheap tricks. No cheap scare tactics. So just open up your heart and let the sunshine in!!

Let me start by saying that I've been a Duranie since 1984 when I was 12. I am sad and disappointed in the new album. First, they need to get off the disco/pop sound. For some reason, they try to stay relevant by sounding like average pop artists. They are so much better than that. They need to live up to their full capacity. Unless, they return to their original sound, they will always fail. Second, they need to get off making cover versions. I think their last great album was All You Need is Now (2011). Future Past was ok although not as good as All You Need is Now. The cover versions are not too bad but I need new songs from them. Sadly, even the cover versions of their songs don't have any depth to them; original versions were perfect. Musically, I don't hear anything new that I didn't hear in the original versions. The best 2 songs on the album are Bury a Friend and Ghost Town which, to my dismay, I found out are also cover versions. They did release an album before with entirely cover versions and they were bashed by all the critics. And yet they did again. I expected this album to have a darker mood, not disco/pop. They obviously need more Andy Taylor sound. John and Roger Taylor are great as always. Simon and Nick are....well...not so much. This may be the last Duran Duran album I've purchased. Bring back Andy, put some rock sound. Look at the Wedding Album and All You Need is Now album.

Perfect movie to watch during Halloween. The plot details are a little hard to follow but it all comes together at the end. Unlike many other horror movies while the monster/villain's actions are unexplained (or not believable), Sleepy Hollow's premise works quite well. Johnny Depp and Cristina Ricci are great. This is probably my favorite Tim Burton's movie. It's a very dark movie with a very grim, dark atmosphere. There are few moments/scenes which are a bit comical (Tim Burton style) which I don't care for. But aside from those silly moments (which are thankfully just a few), it's almost a perfect film.

Doesn't deserve the harsh criticism from the critics. 16% on rotten tomatoes?? This movie deserves minimum 3 stars, and 60-65% on Rotten Tomatoes. I know plenty of not-so-good movies with over 50-60% mark on Rotten Tomatoes. Is it the best action movie? No, but it's decent and entertaining (despite its flaws). I thought all actors were great, Stallone, Banderas and Moore deliver great performances. Plot has few issues but the movie still redeems itself with its energy.

Not sure why people didn't like this movie. It's way better than constant remakes and reboots that come out every year and many scary movies that use cheap scare tactics. It has a unique storyline and I think it delivers the goods. Its thematic style may be similar to that of Twilight Zone but many movies were influenced by Twilight Zone. It deserves a much higher rating (at least 3 out of 5 or 6.5-7 out of 10). Kudos to Shyamalan who gives us something fresh and new every single time. I really admire him. I look forward to his next movie. It's too bad the current movie goers are not appreciative enough.

It's an ok movie and has got few scares going on but unfortunately it falls flat due to predictability. After the first 2 The Conjuring movies, this one just fails to measure up. Here's some of the problems for me: it felt like Child's Play (Chucky doll) meets Rosemary's Baby (1968). They combined the possessed doll concept with conjuring up the devil. While this is not a bad idea, the execution is not that great. ***Minor spoilers ahead***. When it was Mia who wanted the doll out of the house, she doesn't look one bit surprised when the doll shows up in their new apt, doesn't even protest and doesn't get rid of the doll even though it was her who asked her husband to lose the doll in the first place. Even when evil things start to happen (like vision of real-life Anabelle haunting Mia) that are tied to the doll, she still doesn't throw the doll out (it's said that they cannot get rid of the doll but I think they should've tried harder or at least the film makers should've shown them try to get rid of the doll even if unsuccessfully). The scare scenes are kind of predictable from a mile away. They are very formulaic. Because it's very hard to go beyond the conventional formula, they needed a fresh idea to break the formula and I think they failed. Overall, it's not a terrible movie but it's not great.

I have no idea why anyone would rate this movie so highly. It may be the worst cinematography I've seen in a movie. There are almost no colors and no contrast, background is always blurry, everything is bleeding with no contours, way too dark (dark movies are ok when cinematography is great). Maybe they should've shot this movie as black and white. Also there is no story. Just like the cinematography, story elements are all over the place, very hard to watch. Just a bad movie all over. I looked up the director Matt Reeves and I immediately knew why the movie was so bad. He is the same director who shot the Planet of the Apes remakes/reboot movies 2nd and 3rd installments which were also horrible and needless. He also directed the remake of Let the Right One In (the Swedish movie) the US version Let Me In which was also horrible. Apparently, he cannot direct anything new and unique. All remakes/reboots of other movies. I will not watch another movie of Matt Reeves.

Sorry, I tried hard to watch it but didn't interest me. I don't think it's any better than the original Dune movie by David Lynch from the 80s. Story is not told in an interesting fashion. I thought David Lynch's screenplay/narrative was better. I also don't think visuals are better either. I totally lost interest in the movie where it got to the dessert - the visuals were poorly constructed CGI design. In David Lynch's movie those scenes were shot on location, looked more realistic. Overall, cinematography wasn't that great, or it maybe was comcast/xfinity issue on my tv.
