Of course it is an informative subject because the story is based on real life events that were taking place at the beginning of the 20th century in Great Britain among the old Aristocracy. As I had seen the series on PBS, the movie starts where the series end and it is about ONE big event. Evidently, I preferred the series that covered such a long period and a lot of dramatic and also happy events in the life of the masters and in the life of their servants. It was very exciting a series and full of surprises. Please see the movie, it is so beautiful, informative, and interesting because the reality is full of substance.

I love watching Edward Norton acting and he is also directing. And he is one of the best of his generation. The subject is unfortunately still very actual and will always be. Just look at Trump: if he could get away with murder he would murder a lot of people. He is getting away with insults, bullying, degrading, humiliating others, and calling them names (like ''poor son of a b..'' while talking of a presidential candidate). I really believed that he was going to be sued for some insults, but there were no reactions and there are still a lot of Americans who love him and would vote for him. Maybe because they speak the same language. TO THE MOVIE: it is a good movie that must be seen to learn some truths, although I also got confused sometimes. But at the end everything is clear.
