I happened to catch the start of The Social today. I was absolutely shocked what I heard falling out of her mouth, how is it that she was able to rattle on about Don Cherry and then have the audacity to discriminate white males who play hockey. I would hope that she also loses her job for her comments. Wait... “that type” - white boys who’s parents can afford to put their kids in minor hockey? And all that money spent on hockey could be spent on a vacation. And we don’t appreciate learning about the world because we spend our weekends in arenas? Seriously why don't you tell that to the parents and families of the Humboldt Broncos. Interesting that a network would allow someone to speak this way about the “hockey families” in Canada. You’re allowed to have your opinions on how you feel about Don Cherry... but putting down others in your own stereotypical “that type, those people” statement, in an effort to prove your point - makes you no better. I will no longer watch The Social after this hurtful and humiliating attack against families who choose to have their children participate in a sport.
