I’ve never watched a series which is completely ruined by one actor—in this case Bitsie Tulloch. Not only is she a terrible actress—every time she opens her mouth (and moves her collagen-swollen upper lip) one cringes—but she looks like an advertisement for a third rate plastic surgeon. Nose, forehead, lips, the whole enchilada. She looks so disturbing and is such a bad actress that one cannot enjoy the show while she’s on the screen (not to mention how urgently she needs to be fed). And—this is of course not the only show; most American TV is plagued by this—the makeup. Who goes to sleep or wakes up for that matter in full makeup, lip gloss and all? Or prances around the house on 6 inch heels? It’s ridiculous.

I LOVED this show when the judges were Paul and Mary Berry and Sue and Mel presented. But now? I don’t like to be nasty, but Jesus Christ on a crutch, if Noah Fielding (what are we trying to say here...Prince Valiant?) is the best presenter the producers of Britain’s most popular TV show can come up with, then the industry over there is in deep trouble. I used to watch the show with my husband—like a special occasion, like TV was in the old days. My husband became an enthusiastic baker (Paul would have loved his first try at Réligiouses!—think how it’s spelled). I can’t stand to look at it now, much less watch it.
