I cannot believe that Sarma was a victim here. I’ve only seen 3 episodes and a lot of things don’t make sense at all. Her behavior is just as bad as Shane, who’s clearly a psycho. She seems at times like she’s ready to stand up to him and call his bluff but then she goes along with his ridiculous story and drives her business into ruin. It’s unnerving to the point where as the viewer I feel violated for being pulled into believing this story is real.

I think it’s an incredibly interesting show mainly because one discovers the ingenuity, the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit in this country. But frankly I can’t say I’m a big fan of the Sharks. They come across as arrogant, narcissistic with little compassion. Capitalism at its worst. Unless you are made of steel and don’t care about being humiliated on national TV I don’t see why one would be inclined to go to them for money. Go to friends and family who believe in you. What is so surprising is that candidates ask for such insignificant sums as 50k. What in the world can one achieve with that sum?
