I am at episode 4, and like someone else who also lost their patience at episode 4, let me vent my frustration — I do not like the male protagonist at all. This review is based on my experience with 4 episodes of the show.
If you are starting out on this show, I recommend you read other 1- and 2-star reviews. They pretty much commented on similar things — on the male and female protagonists, the lousy execution of a plot that started out great, etc.
My rants:
Did the script writer meant for him to be smart, or stupid, or naive, or loyal? This is not a romantic or melo-drama, and the writers are trying to intertwine too much plots of the male protagonist being *excessively-naively-stupidly* obsessed with his fiancee, creating frustrating amount of distractions to the main thriller theme of the plot. I guess the writer(s) is/are trying to build suspense and drag episodes, but there are other ways to build suspense, not what the writer(s) did.
Addition: the female protagonist, who is supposedly a lawyer, is equally stupid.
The only smart person, as you might have already guessed, is the villain.
You know what would have been much better? Smart protagonists and villains, and they try to out-compete each others' wits. That would be way more entertaining and satisfying.
