Bariz Shah’s story demonstrates so clearly the long term effect of ostracism and bullying on children and our young people - especially those who are deemed to be different - why they seek groups where they feel they belong and why they engage in behaviour that is harmful to the community and to themselves. Every politician and person with community responsibilities should read Bariz’s book. Understand the consequences of bullying and put down. And, also understand how a loving and supportive family foundation (with inbuilt consequences) enables resilience and strength to rebuild a beautiful and caring person and their family. Thank you Bariz and whānau for sharing your vulnerabilities and strengths. 👏👏👏👏👏
