Enjoying the visuals and the nostalgia, but the plot and storylines are wafer-thin.

After a dead slow first 20 minutes, it finds its feet - but then the last 20 minutes it again stumbles and staggers towards a rather ho-hum finale. Knightley is excellent in the lead role (in arguably her finest effort to date) however she alone carries the film just enough to give it a pass for me.

Many critics seem to be wanting a 4-part mini-series documenting the life of Mercury, which would forensically delve into all his quirks and genius. This is not that. This is a 2 hour Hollywood movie profiling 15 years of Queen (with Freddie front n center) and a great one at that.
