Watched this movie when it first came out at 16 and enjoyed it not knowing fully the intricacies of adult relationships but watching it as an adult it is terrible. All 3 characters have no redeeming qualities. Julia Robert's character wakes up at the last minute and realizes she loves him and can't live without him and does vindictive things to get him back Dermot Mulroneys character is so misogynistic and expects his wife to trail around him from one small town to another a d what raise kids on the road? Cameron Diaz gives up her career, friends, family and life to follow some wannabe writer because he says so. Even for the 90s this put women back so far

Absolutely terrible. Makes no sense, you have no idea who the characters are and nothing ties the story together. Your brain explodes trying to piece it together. One of the worst movies I have watched in a long time
