Wayne Winne

I saw this film yesterday and found it riveting and disturbing. I’m always in search for films with storylines and characters that force me to feel a myriad of emotions. FALLING was definitely one of those films for me. It’s hard to believe this was Mortensen’s directorial debut, plus wearing so many other hats: acting, writing, and composing and performing the film’s score. Wow! It’s hard to fathom why this film didn’t garner critical acclaim and awards. If I were an Academy member, I would have cast votes for Lance Henriksen and Henry Mortensen for best actor and supporting actor nominations and definitely Viggo Mortensen as best director. I hope to see more directorial work from him. Wayne Winne Palm Coast, FL

Susan Hayward as a college student? More than a stretch that even a seasoned actress like she can pull off.

Shymalan’s films just keep getting worse and worse. The director who once showed genius with his films, The Sixth Sense, Signs, and Unbreakable, needs to try another genre or sad to say, another profession.
