I wish half the low IQ behavior could have been removed. I found KC’s character, Cassie, to be too stupid to root for. The character is just too implausible! How did she ever become a flight attendant with such poor judgement and behavior? Come on! When you put that together with the very clumsy, I found, hallucinations with the dead guy….

A lasting impression from watching the show: Kerry W’s odd smile. Angry, forced strange smile. I did not like the complete change of tone from the source material. Why not go the extra mile this beautiful book, so nuanced and delicately rendered, deserved? It just feels like the producers “knew best” when they decidedly did NOT know best. Give the author, Ng, her due! Tell the story SHE wrote, not some hybrid. The production was well cast, I felt, except for Mia. Just the wrong vibe. Nothing against Washington, I like her other work.

This is on the list of my all time fav movies! It’s fresh and charming and my only complaint is the profanity. Not necessary for the most part. It is such a refreshing relief from all the heavy, recycled schlock out there. Bravo, give us more!
