This movie looked really promising with the ensemble cast of many actors who I have enjoyed performances from in the past and on a very interesting topic. Unfortunately the script doesn't give them much to work with. They spend the entire movie speaking in very general nondescriptive short sentences to each other making it very hard to follow along and trying to decipher what they are talking about. I don't want writers to lead me by the nose as I think that is insulting to the audience, but this is just the opposite. It's almost like they are speaking in their own code and I'm sure if you are a close knit group there are short cuts, but this goes way beyond that. Very disappointing as this could have been a really good movie. They definitely had the talent, but they needed a better script. Such a waste.

Great suspenseful thriller with a story of redemption to boot! Acting was great all around. The actress playing the mother (Rainey Qualley) is exceptional and the ex-boyfriend's "friend" Sammy (Vincent Gallo) is terrifying. The young girl (Luciana VanDette) is absolutely adorable. As expected not coming from a main Hollywood studio it is a lower budget film with few sets, but it doesn't feel like it as it is well filmed and acted in those fewer sets. Great story without the politics found in so many things coming out of Hollywood nowadays. Definitely worth the watch.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Showtime should be ashamed of themselves for putting out this hate filled racist program. To think that this program was developed and put together and no one even gave it a second thought to putting on this racist trash is shameful. Try taking a look in the mirror for a second and think if roles were reversed if you think this would be acceptable. It's scary that they think it's perfectly acceptable to be racist as long as they are doing it to the right skin color. The trailer was rightfully absolutely destroyed on YouTube in the comments section. So much so they turned the comments section off. This show likewise deserves to be put in the dustbin of history. Shame on you Showtime!

I really don't understand the hate for this movie. This movie is pure fun from start to finish. Kevin Kline and Will Smith work great together in this movie and their jabs at each other back and forth is great fun to watch throughout. The only thing I can think of is that they expected something resembling the show which it is not. I guess if they had had a different title maybe they wouldn't have gotten so much grief. Do yourself a favor and ignore all the hate for this movie and give it a watch. You will not regret it. It is great fun start to finish.
