Itโs strange how so many people rate the book so highly. I found it, as someone below said, riddled with inconsistencies and barely credible. If anyone as sick as Moth supposedly is set out on such a journey then he is clearly daft! I thought some of the โholesโ in the book would have been papered over by a good film maker - but no - the little one hears about how the farm and livelihood were lost still makes no sense at all. And, from not believing how Raynor and Moth come to lose their home, sets everything up to feel contrived to me. Sadly, my partner and I were both bored, despite some lovely scenery.
