MARK Walker

As a man of the 1980’s I love this movie . It’s absolutely cheesy to the core , but Patrick Swayze is the biscuit . Sam Elliot remains forever cool . Kelly lynch is gorgeous - 80’s style- and the music rocks . Gazzara for me is the weak link . It would have been better played by the brilliant king of villains the late Mr William Smith . I don’t care what anyone says , this is a cult movie and universally loved by every man over 45 . RIP Ben , Pat . 🙏

An average action movie at best . It’s not quite as good as the original which had a charismatic lead in swayze. Sam Elliot is irreplaceable .

A touching movie that taps into what being human really comes down to , love and family. Strong performances by the main cast members. Watanabe is top notch as always. The actor who played the General was miscast. He didn’t have the gravitas to hold that role. Visually great cinematography, soundtrack and script .

This is a very well made movie and don’t be distracted by the original . Both lead actors give great performances and do credit to an amazing story of human courage and fortitude . I think most people expect super hero’s or FX in every movie and forget a great story and fine acting are all you need. Malik is far better then Hoffman in this character portrayal and has done himself huge credit . Fine movie and worth watching for the story alone .

Always been a huge fan of MJF and as a guy who was 21 in 1986 this is my era. Take some back in time and puts a smile on my face . Good movie and MJF remains charming throughout , which was the secret of his success .

Fry is the epitome of Wilde capturing the sensitive complexity of the genius that was Wilde . A tortured soul who was persecuted by Victorian hypocrisy for merely living another man . My children will learn of Oscar Wilde’s work and when old enough they should watch this to understand prejudice for loving the wrong gender in the eyes of others .

I get a little annoyed by those of dogmatic faith who miss the entire matter relating to Jesus Christ the messiah . The entire point of the 40 days of solitude was a test of his humanity and his divinity. To say this is antichrist material is naive and sad. The bible is a guide not an all encompassing doctrine . Even Christ himself did not listen to the bible , he re wrote it !! He smashed the sellers in the temple and was a human of contradictions . It is his humanity that raises him above all others to divinity . The ultimate lesson of Christ is the message of love and forgiveness . Through being human and frail and failing , he understood his mission and the sacrifices he had to make . Many people fail to see the truth of his existence on earth and the message . They get seduced by the dogma of faith set by men or little learning or humanity . ‘ if you believe in God, don’t look for God in a church , temple or mosque, God can be found under a rock , behind a tree, in the wind that blows and the sun that shines. If you want to see gods love , see it in the eyes of your children. In their innocence there you will find God’ Who taught me this ? No one ... I simply now .

I watch this every now and then and it is amongst my favourite western movies . Kurt Russel is iconic as Earp and his best role ever. No one has been better as Holliday as Kilmer . Perfect casting , great script , amazing movie . Kurt Russel should be eternally proud of this fine acting on his part . All the other actors just shone . Powers Booth has always been a fine actor . Sam Elliot is the West .
